Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU)

Needing more space for your visiting family members? Considering an Accessory Dwelling Unit on your property? Florida is actively expanding ADU possibilities to address affordable housing. For instance, Clearwater adopted new standards in 2024 for ADUs, while Pinellas County permits them with specific size and design constraints. Tampa allows ADUs in specific districts, with others limited to “Extended Family Residence” use. Contact Lela Williams & Associates Interior Design with your specific questions on city or county planning departments. We will get answers for your local codes, as regulations vary.
